Situation
Handyman Rescue Team is a Seattle-based remodeling firm specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, tenant improvements, and custom upgrades. Founder Travis Logan began as a solo entrepreneur—on the jobsite by day managing subcontractors and working late into the night on estimates.

After comparing options, Houzz Pro stood out for its customer-facing tools—especially Estimates and the Client Dashboard. “We knew we could give clients more clarity and confidence by using a platform designed for remodelers,” Travis says.
Since adopting Houzz Pro, the business has grown into a more structured operation. “We use the Selections feature heavily for remodeling projects, especially kitchens and bathrooms. Clients love being able to see tile, flooring, paint, and fixture options all in one place. It prevents decision fatigue, keeps everything documented, and avoids miscommunication. Our favorite aspect is how easy it is for clients to approve or decline choices — it keeps projects moving forward and reduces back-and-forth emails.”
For larger remodels, the team uses 3D Floor Plans to give homeowners confidence in layout and design decisions. “We introduce 3D before the client makes their final selections but after the Estimate is accepted and deposit received. Meanwhile, integrated payments and the QuickBooks Online sync have reduced errors and eliminated double entry. “Most of our clients pay online through Houzz Pro. This has sped up collections and reduced errors significantly. The invoices flow directly into QuickBooks, so we don’t have to worry about double entry or reconciliation issues. It’s one of those features that works quietly in the background but makes a big difference in time savings.” Travis notes.
