Water Damage Mitigation & Rebuild

Our "Water Damage Mitigation & Rebuild" project at a Seattle residence was an intense but rewarding job that spanned across multiple rooms.

First up, the water mitigation. We dove in to identify the leak’s source, which meant removing baseboards, door trims, drywall, insulation, flooring, a vanity, and even a toilet. Once the mystery of the water damage was solved, we installed curtain rods, repaired a closet door, and caulked areas in the kitchen and bathroom to prevent further issues.

Next, the real fun began with the damage rebuild. We installed fresh insulation and drywall across 275 square feet, expertly taped, mudded, and primed everything, followed by two coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration Home Interior paint for a smooth finish. Flooring was next—770 square feet of new luxury vinyl tile went down seamlessly in the hallway, bathroom, bedroom, living room, and laundry area.

Then it was time to reinstall 250 linear feet of baseboards and 135 linear feet of door trim, which we carefully prepped, caulked, and gave two coats of paint for that crisp, clean look. We re-hung doors in the bathroom and utility room, and brought back the washer and dryer after the flooring was in place.

In the bathroom, we reinstalled the original floating vanity, reconnected water lines, and plopped the toilet back where it belonged. The result? A fully restored home, where no one would ever know there had been a water damage issue in the first place!
